!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BARGAINING UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Negotiations with educators have reached an impasse due to unresolved compensation concerns. The allocated funds appear insufficient to facilitate a meaningful salary increase for the teaching staff. Specifically, a significant portion, approximately 48%, may not receive any financial adjustments. The district's proposal to allocate a portion of these funds towards operational expenses is inconsistent with the intended purpose. CESPA has engaged in three prior meetings with the district, mirroring the CCEA bargaining sessions. During the most recent meeting, our proposal included a step increase and a $0.25 adjustment to the salary scale, along with a $1.25 stipend for nurses to maintain their licenses. Additionally, we requested the reclassification of five individuals from B32 to T32. The district has yet to respond to our proposal. Further negotiations are scheduled for October 29th at 4:30 p.m. in the pre-employment room at the district office.
